Published on September 17, 2021
Learn Spanish while reading to your child for just 10 minutes per day.
Roni lives with her family and friends in a treehouse in the jungle. She loves going on adventures, dancing (especially salsa) and eating pancakes!
Roni la Rana is a fun story designed to help you learn lots of useful Spanish language phrases with a focus on greetings and numbers. With repetition, accompanying pronunciation guidance, native speaker audio and beautiful illustrations you will start speaking Spanish straight away. The more you read the book, the more confident you will feel speaking Spanish.
Early exposure to a second language has been proven to stimulate brain development and encourage creativity and problem solving skills in babies and children, with many more benefits for adults too!
It's available to order directly by messaging me via email Hola@ronifonix.com or Socials @learnspanishwithronifonix or at Silverwood Books, Foyles, Waterstones or anywhere you buy books. If you ask at your local independent bookshop, they should be able to order it in too.

¡Hola! I am a fully qualified Spanish teacher/Head of department and I have been teaching Spanish from beginner to Advanced (A) Level in Outstanding Secondary schools in the UK for over 15 years. I am passionate about languages and how they can enhance lives through better communication, travel, job prospects and more!
I’m so appreciative and delighted by the positive responses my language learning picture book concept has received. I want to help as many people as possible experience success whilst learning a language. I’m looking forward to sharing my future stories as they come to fruition. Roni la Rana is suitable for babies, children of all ages and adults! For babies the different sounds will tap into your child’s emotional intelligence as well as provide early exposure to Spanish which is proven to stimulate brain development. For toddlers and school-age children, they can practise sounds and use their knowledge of English phonics to pronounce the Spanish words to learn the language in a fun and interactive way.
Read the Spanish aloud using the phonetic pronunciation provided underneath (syllable in capitals shows which part of the word to emphasise). Through repetition, you will in time be able to focus on the Spanish words and how they sound together with the English translation.
At the front of the book you will find guidance on how to use the book as well as access to an audio version of the book read by a native speaker so you can check your pronunciation. At the end of the book you will find some further advice on how to pronounce key sounds. The book is filled with high frequency (commonly used) words and phrases and beautiful illustrations designed to support your understanding.
